That nut, Kentucky's other Senator, Jim Bunning, kicked it off by arguing against unanimous consent to pass a variety of bills that have passed the House and are now before the Senate.  Bunning has already caused 2,000 federal highway construction employees to be laid off and jeopardizes Medicare's physician reimbursement as well extension of  unemployment benefits by demonstrating just how petty, down and dirty the Party of NO can be!

Senator Chris Dodd has come up with a solution -- a constitutional amendment that overrules the recent Supreme Court decision in Citizens United so far as it affects campaign financing. 

The court ruled 5-4 last month that Congress cannot regulate independent expenditures by corporations and possibly labor unions which would dramatically increase corporate election spending.

Here in Arizona, John McCain is running for re-election as US Senator. McCain needs  to retire. I am supporting former talkshow host and congressman JD Hayworth for the Senate. JD is a true conservative and will listen to the voters of Arizona. John McCain is a progressive who will not listen to the voters.
