I've read the House version, the Senate version, and the reconciled version before and after modifications that Jan Brewer signed.  I don't have to cut it down; it will topple over by itself.

I will tell you like i tell everyone else look at charity to know what is truely in someones heart. B.O. or barack whatever you want to call him and J.B. or fag biden whichever you prefer .004 of wages given to charity in 5 years runup to election and most of that given to a church that cant stand america. lookit all i am saying is if you want obamacare you couldve moved anywhere in the world to have it........ oh no wait a minute they already tried it in most other places it didnt work and they are adopting what is now our old way of doing healthcare

I'm not sure what moved you to make personal contact but I gotta tell ya that tryin' to unravel what you write and what you mean requires way too much effort -- particularly once I've figured out what you've said!

&am p;nb sp; Well i can see you dont like palin but consider this her state is 1 of the few states which runs in the black. Just in case you dont know what that means her state has 1 of the smallest burdens on the people (taxwise) in the country yet they had a $6,000,000,000 surplus you know more money than they spent in the last fiscal year.

  • Yep, and how does she do it? She raised taxes on the oil pipeline, which supplies oil to not only Alaska, but also the US western states, Japan, and China. So, maybe Arizona should slap a huge tax increase on ExxonMobil or one of the oil pipelines in Alaska? Alaska (oil) Texas (oil) and Nevada (gambling) (and OK, FL and some of the other small oil producing states to a lesser extrent) are different in that they can generate a lot of taxes from taxing oil that gets exported, so Alaska taxes the other 49 states, in effect, to pay their bills.

Now you tell me that obama is your man you r just a fool the debt he has already incurred puts your piece of the pie at $100,000 more just since he took office and he is only getting started.

  • As for the deficit last year, 1.3 trillion $'s, yeah that's ugly. That is what was inheritted from Bush, largely the result of the tax cuts on the wealthy, and Iraq, and the economy in free fall, and the money to save AIG's and CITI's investors. Compare healthcares $900bil price tag, over a decade, to the price for the Bank Bailouts, $700bl, and AIG, wound up where 120 bil?

Well, time will tell whether she can beat Obama in 3 years...  Again, just leveling the playing field up on the polls.

If you get picked up and are heard from no more, I will publicly admit that you were right.

"So tell me then because i cant figure you out are you for or against socialized medicine in this country???

Me i am against and its only because i consider it to be a ponsi scheme the same kind as  medicare, medicaid and social security.See i look at it as thievery they take money from you your whole life and when its time to deliver they fall far too short.

As far as obama and communism i think you are deadly wrong and may wake up 1 day to find its too late to stand against it but its not just obama i feel that way about bush and clinton as well. I mean lets face it it was they're presidencies that led us to where we are"

If you are having trouble figuring out my position on socialized medicine, that is because our definitions are different.  Socialized medicine is when the government owns the doctors and the means to gain access to them.  Medicare is not socialized medicine, nor is any public plan under consideration by Congress, nor is single payer.  The doctors continue to work for themselves or for whoever they currently work for, but the reimbursements for their services would now come from one source rather than multiple sources as they do now.  That is called a public:private partnership, and it benefits everybody, doctors and patients.

As for Ponzi scheme, they take your money and run.  I take care of a lot of seniors who use Medicare and who do not feel scammed.  Unlike private insurance who will find any excuse to drop you when you really need them, Medicare rarely denies service.  Throughout our lifetime we might pay in roughly $100K to Medicare, on average.  That's a lot of money, to be sure.  But when you consider that the average couple pays $15K each year for private insurance, this lifetime cost for Medicare is a pretty good deal, especially when a weeklong stay in the hospital can easily cost you far more than $100K.  Far too many of us get a chance to use the Medicare money we contributed over the years, because we often get sick as we get old.  It would be nice if we were all perfectly healthy until the day we suddenly drop dead, but most of us are not that lucky.

You can believe what you want about Obama and Clinton.  I'm not likely to change your mind, and that is not why I post.  Other people read our opinions too, and they will have to judge who is right and wrong based on the strength of their arguments.

Well you seem to think i am a republican well i can assure you i am not but i do tend to agree a little more for what the republicans are supposed to stand for the trouble is that the repubs are in league with the dems which is why i vote libertarian

My comment applies regardless of your party affiliation, and was not directed at any one person.  But you nailed it when you said "what the republicans are supposed to stand for," because despite their rhetoric, they surely don't stand for you.

&am p;nb sp;                       Ok here we go. I dont blame the little guy hell i am a little guy the point of the article is that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are government you cant deny that fact. All I am saying is that the clinton admin. pressured bankers to give people loans who had no down payments+ werent qualified they then guaranteed the loans for the bankers thru gov owned fannie and freddie making it a no lose (supposedly) situaton for the bankers (LOL)

Nascar fan, sorry for the delay the message side at this site is lost to me. Fannie and Freddie neither originate, or lend loans. What they do is they have set underwriting guidelines, and for the loans originated using those UW guidelines, they package and resell those loans as GinnieMae bonds on Wall Street. Also, even still, Fannie and Freddie are only defaulting on 1.5% of their portfolios, not bad compared to Downey Savings, and CountryWide - both around 8%. What Clinton did was he got them to loosen the guidelines, BUT the borrowers still had to have good credit, and good, provable, W-2 paycheck type income. And remember, if 2 buyers want the same house, if Bob has 20% down, and Ray has zero, then Ray needs alot more income, because he not only needs to borrow more, he's also paying a fat mortgage insurance bit too.

But, if you are bemoaning Clinton for "pressuring" Fannie and Freddie, then what do you say about Sen. Gramm and Pres. Bush and Fed Chairman Greenspan for deregulating the entire mortgage lending world, and allowing the free market to create subprime loans, which no one pressured them to make, which took away all of those pesky requirements to prove income?
